Halloween

What? No pictures of Elsa dressed up like a cute little bug, or pumpkin or frog? Yes folks, without really thinking about it I boycotted Halloween this year and my poor child will have no pictures of her first Halloween. To make matters worse, I also forgot to buy candy. When the first trick-or-treaters showed up, I opened the door not even thinking about it, and had to tell 2 cute little boys I didn't have any candy. We spent the next 2 hours hiding in our house with the lights off so no other poor kid had to be turned away.

Elsa and I went to the farmers market this morning in the rain....we hit all our usual vendors who have gotten to know her, and usually coo over her cute red hair. What were they interested in this morning? Her Halloween costume of course. I said she went as "cute" this year - "huh"was the usual response. "Yeah, I didn't dress her up" I said several times and got several looks that could only be translated as "some mom you must be".

So there you have it..no cute ducky, no candy, no carved pumpkins this year. Watch out Greenbelt, next year the Mazursky's are going to spew Halloween from 1H Southway and each kid is getting a whole bag of candy.
