Retirement

Elsa has been spending her days with Oma and Opa since early April. She loves them. Up until the last few weeks (entering separation anxiety stage) she all but jumps out of my arms in the morning into theirs. She loves them - did I already say that? And lets face it, Errol and I love them to.

Well, Oma and Opa, after watching wee ones for more years than I have been allowed to drive, are retiring. Lovely for them, horrifying for Errol and I, and at the first of the year will prove to be depressing for Elsa. They hosted a retirement brunch last week with lots of the kiddos they have watched over the years.

We have a new nanny, Clara, who is going to start watching Elsa and her buddy Julian after the new year. While we will miss Oma and Opa, we are looking forward to Clara and seeing what type of trouble Elsa and Julian get into in the next year!
