Now on Tap

Babies are interesting. I have no idea what the heck they think about all day but they sure do make some interesting noises. Elsa rarely actually cries, in fact I don't know that I've seen a real tear yet. So far most of her noises fall into 3 categories:
  1. The whimper grunt - this means she's going to poop

  2. The prolonged waa-waa-waa which means she's hungry

  3. The hiccup - I have no idea what this means but she does it quite often and sounds like a little frog

The waa-waa-waa noise seems to come quite frequently in fact we feed her every two hours. OK, I better change that language or I'll hear about it later - Sara feeds her every two hours. I look on in complete fascination that something so small can eat so much. Thankfully for Elsa she kicked the keg of colostrum and made way for the milk now on tap.

I have to admit, its a weird thing to see milk coming out of your wife. I know she's a mammal and all, but it is a bit nutty to think that she's a self contained feeding aparatus. Elsa seems to think it's the best thing since sliced bread, though we'll have to reasses that once she gets a few teeth and can try some.
